I was contacted a while back from a filmmaker in the UK wanting to some of our music in one of his short films. A portion of our "Bereft Of Enemies" tune opens up the film.
The film is pretty low budget and the acting is, well, lets just say its not Brando.

Did I miss something or what? I want my 10 minutes back. That sucked. WTF kind of ending is that? They chickened out. The best part of that movie was Ryan's song.

Ha, yeah I agree with Danny. I'm not sure that ending could have been any worse... but the beginning was cool!
Cool deal nonetheless Ryan. Cult stardom here you come!

ha ha thanks guys. Yeah, the movie leaves a little to be desired that's for sure. Not sure what they're going for here. Any clue what happened to the "bad guy?"
Sorry, I should have warned you guys

Exposure is good. They had decent production value, acting wasn't really horrible... the plot. uh...
The music was awesome!

Hey... Today it's GoreCartoons, Tomorrow it may be a Simon Pegg film. Ya never know where this stuff leads.
Cool tune. Ditto Danny's remarks.

I'm with Jeff. I have to admit that I bailed after the opening sequence. After reading the comments this morning I went back and watched it again...this time fast forwarding to the end.
All I want to know...Where can I buy the sound track to this movie???
Congrats Secret Samurai you stole the show!

Boy did that drag along. The opening song sounds good but the crappy hand held video look of the opening sequence didn't match the song in terms of quality. Could've been much shorter and still gotten the point across. Also they could've hinted a little as to what may of become of the hitman. Using his overweight appearance combined with smoking, maybe eating a burger, sweating, difficulty breathing could've led us to believe he had a heart attack before he finished the hit. I'm over thinking this...but, maybe you should plan a tour of the U.K. now to cash in. ;)

I see a lot of short films since my girlfriend is a film professor at UCSB. This one is not so bad by comparison, hell it's better than some feature length films I've seen. I think if we knew what happened to Finn it would take away whatever mystery there is. This way we have to wonder... it is a question of faith. The music sounds great.

I'm more influenced by the rules of cause and effect than I am by the idea of God's 60 second intervention prayer, so as a religious film it works.

Based on a quick google search, the meaning of Nathaniel is "God has given." Evidently he is listed as one of the 12 apostles. Not sure what to infer from that

I think the filmmaker had something to say about his, or someones beliefs. Something that the story was building towards. Call it, the point, or the theme, or the pay-off, denouement.... I felt impatient with the amount of time it took to set it all up. It could've started in the middle with the gun in his back, or even taking out the Nathaniel sub-plot, and still worked. (and not have offended my A.D.D. riddled, over caffeinated state of mind. )
