Needle and the Damage Done by Mr. Young. That intro is just so soothing and can be turned around a bajillion ways... Just don't sing the words and you'll feel better after 30 seconds of it no matter what ails you. |

Not at all, it is a very gentle mood piece by Richie Allen and the Pacific Surfers. The reason I said it was my favorite song to play is because you use the high B and E strings as part of the melody, so they kind of drone. Also, very tasterful harmonics, and an inventive melody, especially in the bridge. Great chord structure as well. Altogether, a 2 minute masterpiece. Buy Speed of Dark @ Bandcamp |

"Work Song" by Cannonball Adderley It's a great and simple blues tune that's crazy easy to solo over. ~B~ |

'you don't love me baby' by Buddy Guy and Junior Wells off of 'Hoodoo Man Blues'. If you don't have this album, you're missing out on some of the coolest guitar playing ever recorded. I don't play it nearly as well as a well practiced bluesman, but I love the groove. In the same vein - 'Come on Part 1' by Earl King, just incredible vibe. Covered by Jimi Hendrix too. —Danny Snyder Playing keys and guitar with Combo Tezeta Formerly a guitarist in The TomorrowMen and Meshugga Beach Party Latest surf project - Now That's What I Call SURF Last edited: Sep 20, 2006 17:46:13 |

I have a lot but one I always look forward to is "The Jester" by Jim Messina and the Jesters. It has a nice quick pace that's fun to play and a couple of cool stops that you really have to be tight on. —There is Surf east of Sepulveda. |

My favourite song to play changes like the weather. Currently it's "Lute Suite No. 4", Silvius Leopold Weiss (1686-1750). A beautiful piece written without bar lines or a time signature. |

I'm a rhythm guy, but I love "Six Pack" by the Sandals. I also dig that The Penetrators called it "$9.95 a Wave" for years (until they learned the proper title) since that's The Endless Summer scene it's featured in... I also like six packs... |
