The new 4th edition of "The Illustrated Discography of Surf Music, 1961-1965" is finally here. Hundreds of 45s and LPs with labels and album covers in full color. The new edition is 248 pages with a Foreword by Dick Dale. There are Appendixes for compilation albums, movies and documentary soundtracks, and surf music on the Top 100. The new edition also has a greatly expanded index.

Very cool,
now I can finally get a hold of one of these.
In a weird way I'm glad I waited and didn't get the 3rd edition,
the new 4th edition sounds great.

Congrats, John. The cover looks great!
Needless to say, as a writer who covers much SoCal culture, your surf and hot rod discography books have been a primary source of reference for me. I haven't seen the new updates, but I recommend any fan of surf music to pick this one up asap.
