here is what I got from Matt Quilter about this show.
It'll go something like this:
12-1PM House band warm-up set featuring John Blair, Paul Johnson, John Benton, myself, special guests, and drummers Lee Kix, Tracy Longstreth, Bob Welch, Bob Colwell, and a host of others.
1-1:15 Little tribute to Richard Delvy, hopefully featuring Tim Fitzpatrick on drums
1:15-1:30 "Sweet du Trois", an original drum suite written by Lee Kix featuring drums, percussion, and audience.
1:30-3PM Point Doom,Tequila Worms, Body Snatchers.
3-4PM "Just Dick-ing Around" Dick Dale and DD-influenced music, featuring a host of musicians (hopefully including Joe K, Ron Eglit, Steve Ashoff, John Blair, Marty Tippens, Mack from Outerwave and others) all culminating in the mother of all "Miserlou"'s.
All this is subject to change, but this should be about right. Still need some gittar players for the Dick-influenced segment.

I'll be there.
Oh No,
used to be I would see Dave once a year.
Now, everytime I get to see Point Doom,
I have to put up with Dave,
good grief.
such a nice guy,
and great bass player.

Beware the hostess Momma Queen and possibly husban John plan on being at this show and will be making presentations of her own at the 1 Pm break...Since it's inception in 2005 this event and the sequels over the next few years have netted the museum more gift shop sales than any of the other shows combined each year...This show also draws a huge crowd so be sure to get there early and bring your own chairs as our chairs are limited...As most of you know I had surgery, a stroke and a heart attack recently and John's cancer is back with him currently going through chemo so being well enough to attend this show means a great deal to us...We look forward to seeing all the wonderful smiling faces who have been so supportive of us in our greatest time of need...Both Jeff and Matt deserve a huge round of applause for their tireless efforts to make Surfin Sundays happen in my absense and behind the scenes of some of the ones I was able to attend...much love to all and see you soon...Linda & John xo

Oh man! I can't believe I'm gonna miss the "Dick Fest"! A gig that day precludes my appearance. Knock 'em dead guys.....and take lots of videos to share.

Just heard from PJ Moto that he is working on some very special surprise guests! Two in particular (if he can talk them into it) would be a couple of guys that, to my knowledge, have not been seen ever by the HBISM faithful. Stay tuned---see you Sunday!

For any band member wanting to sell their merchandise at this show you are welcome to do so...We will have an area set up for such purposes and I'm sure we can get someone to man it...Just make sure you have everything marked so we know what to charge...This is the time and place to make some fairly good money in merch sales

Great! Thanks, Dave.
Hopefully we can make it for a few hours. If so, I'll be wearing my black Mosrite forum t shirt depicting a red Mosrite guitar. I'd love to meet some of the SG 101 forum members.

Although it was a torturous long drive from Bakersfield to Huntingtom Beach in a short period of time, I'm sure glad I attended. It was great to meet Jeff and to see Dave again, plus watch him play. There were some great bands playing. Here's Dave on bass, unfortunately I didn't get the names of the other two players.

Carlos,
You guy's were cookin'. I only got one photo of your band unfortunately I was too far back and the canopy shaded you guy's too much to see you clearly. Looking forward to seeing you all play again.
BTW, it looks like the place is empty but it was fairly packed most of the afternoon with the exception of the space in the direct hot sun being vacant of spectators.
