I don't know what the echo draws but the other 3 combined only need 125mA. Will be interesting to follow how all this works out. Thanks for all your help, all. I still haven't picked up an 18V adapter, but I did get the pedal two days ago and have tried it out running it at 9V. I played it for about an hour today, through my Vibroverb RI on about 5. I have to say that I'm really impressed. OK, the main downside is that when you palmmute, the reverb doesn't sound so great - it's got a fairly pronounced slapback effect that was a bit surprising and definitely not a good replica of a tank. But I went ahead and played a typical Madeira set through this set up, and I really liked the sound! I would go as far as saying that it was actually even inspiring. Go figure! I think this will do very well indeed as a backup, and even as the primary reverb effect for the upcoming Spain tour, or whatever else may materialize in the future. I give it a big thumbs up! (Understanding of course that it's NO Gomez G-Spring or any kind of another real tank, but for a pedal, it's pretty freakin' sweet!) —Ivan |

Yeah, I think I'm going to finally unload my Holy Grail which I have been hauling around to gigs for years as a backup and get a Topanga instead. I'm really impressed with Catalinbread pedals as a whole. I love the Belle Epoch and I'm really interested in the Echorec as well. —Paul |

Cool, Paul! Yeah, I'd love try the Echorec, as well. I don't want to buy it to try it, though, so I'll have to find a shop with one - not so easy. But it's not really an emergency.... Hope you like the Topanga! —Ivan |
