What is wrong with it? I guess that is in this thread.
Have you inspected the wiring to see if it matches a schematic?
Have you tested the switch with a multimeter?
Have you done anything else to troubleshoot this?

I, for one, find those pictures to be hilarious! That black wire between the middle switch and the switch on the left is hooked up wrong. It is supposed to be connected to the middle lug of the middle switch, but it's attached to the 'corner' instead.

Here's a link to some pictures I took of my MIJ Jaguar when I did a series/parallel switching mod:

The first picture shows the stock wiring. You'll have to flip the picture 180 degrees so it matches the one you took. But you can see right away how they wired up the middle lugs of all the switches.

The quickest way to fix it would be to unsolder the black wire at the corner of the middle switch and resolder it to the middle lug, where that other black wire is already connected.

If I were in your position, I would probably replace the switches with vintage styled ones (cheap). You can get a 1 foot of cloth wiring form a guitar store for a doller or two. You might save yourself headaches down the road and would be one step closer to having nice quality wiring.

Radio Shack sells a version that is much stiffer than the ones that are in my AVRI. Someday I will replace mine, as they are too easy to switch inadvertantly.

I love the way you can work on the Jag switches with removing the strings or pick guard!

Thank you all! At first all I had to go on were seymour duncan schematics, but I found the Fender ones (after being told by two technicians they didn't exist) and corrected the problem. Excuse me for making two threads on this problem. I posted the pics after I fixed it to show the quality management at the Squier plant. Take it easy

Ya. Unfortunately this isn't the first Squier related problem. I first bought a Squier VM Jazzmaster and only the rhythm circuit worked. But other than that I love them to death!
