To all those that are interested:
I will as soon as I start loading my videos and my pix into this thread
All I can say is "WOW!" and I am saying it AT THE TOP OF MY LUNGS
What a weekend it was! And almost at the last minute I cancelled (personal reasons, long story), and I'm glad I found the inner strength to go
The musical and spiritual highlight for me was THE ATLANTICS. Between finally connection with Martin Cilia in person and of course watching him play, and same be said for meeting and watching Jim Skaithitis, who goes back to the early days of the band. I could go on and on about this, but I will comment as I load in videos of each band's performance, in order, one band at a time.
As usual I can always use help with song titles, who wrote the songs (were they originals or covers, etc., as I wish to get that info as accurate as I can)
A Flickr set of my pictures will come first, as early as tomorrow. Then the videos will start to appear in this thread, with direct links to where they can be viewed on my YouTube Channel.
Hope members of this website enjoy them.

OK, I have put together my FLICKR set of Pictures from the 2013 SURFER JOE SUMMER FESTIVAL.
This year I didn't take as many pictures. Was much busier, running back and forth between the 2 stages. I am amazed I was able to shoot as many videos as I did, under these circumstances.
I have also loaded in Day 1 of the videos I filmed (11, I believe?"?). TONY DYNAMITE & THE SHOOTIN' BEAVERS, and SPEEDBALL, JR. I will be posting them here and elsewhere fairly soon.
In the meantime, here are some pix I was able to shoot between the running around and shooting the videos. Enjoy!!

here is a band that really blew people away at the SURFER JOE SUMMER FESTIVAL 2013 in Livorno Italy: THE MULLET MONSTER MAFIA. Brilliant execution of some powerhouse surf!! Sort of reminded me of 2 bands, like a hybrid of THE RAZORBLADES and THE TEQUILA WORMS.

the word that keeps popping into my head with regard to the surf bands from Europe vs the USA is "aggressive" -- it's as if the European bands treat surf music in a very high-energy fashion, never letting up (at times, "in your face"!!). SLACKTONE is a band that can "attack" in a similar vein. What the Hell, here's a video I shot of SLACKTONE in Florida in 2009...speaking of "aggressive"!! Hey Freddie, despite those heavy life stuff, this "filming-encoding-cutting-naming-running after the bands to get missing names-uploading..." work do represents a huge job itself!

Everyone be advised that "by request" the videos I filmed of THE APE MEN at the 2013 Surfer Joe Summer Festival in Livorno Italy will not be made available on my YouTube Channel.
As soon as I can, more videos will be finalized and made public. Everything from Day 2 has now been uploaded into my YouTube Channel; so it's just a matter of my finding some rare free time to get them up to speed.
I apologize that this year it has been such a struggle for me to get these videos available for all to see/hear.
