Nils Tempo, mine is a candy red one just like the pic on Fender's website. I don't have a photo account anywhere so I'm limited in posting.

No problem:)

These are going to be a serious threat to Fender's CP line except among those whose guitars have to have a Fender decal.

This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got.

Sunburst Jaguar ordered from Thomann, impossible not to get one! As I have never before owned a Jag before I wonder from those of you who might know if a buzz stop is a good investment?

Discussed at length here
My CIJ Jag came with a buzzstop, but once set up correctly it wasn't necessary anymore.

But I haven't seen the new VM models on Thomann yet? Where did you find yours?

The bodies on these don't look right. Are they using the Johnny Marr body shape? They just have a slightly different look to them. Not bad, but kind of cool looking.

Can't wait to try one out, the trem unit is going to be the crux for me. Just played a CIJ yesterday for the first time in years, thought the guitar was pretty good but the trem was very weak. I wouldn't be opposed to buying a vintage unit to put in a Squier, I bought a vintage one to put in my parts Jazzmaster I just built.

I have heard many times that the Squire Pro Tones series from the 90's was quickly taken out of production for this very reason. I have no idea how true this is though.

THE KBK ... This is the last known signal. We offer Sanctuary.

Thanks. No wonder I couldn't find them, I was searching for "Squier" and they're listed under "Fender SQ". Whatever

I'm not planning to get one as I've already got a CIJ Jaguar and Jazzmaster, both upgraded, and they're everything I've ever wished for. I was just curious about when they would be released in Europe. That being said if I ever feel the need to build a Jazzblaster I'll probably get one of the new Jazzies.

We're doing our share to improve the world economy. One guitar at a time. Big Grin

Maybe we buy 2 at a time and get the economy stimulated.

Later,

is it normal, that there is much more space between the neck PU and the strings than between the bridge PU and the strings on the jaguar? i really like the sound of the bridge PU, but the neck PU seems a bit boring compared to the neck PU on my SGV 300. its the first time i handle a jag and i dont know anything about it yet.

That's how mine is set up on my squier.. more room with the neck pickup.

Today Thomann mailed to let me know that one 3TSB Fender SQ VM Jaguar has been sent, togheter with a Fender leather vintage strap and a set of Fender 0.11-0.49 strings ! Will arrive later this weeks.

Just order a Jaguar in Surf Green from Guitar Center online. Got a 13% discount today, so... total with tax was $277 shipped. Not a bad deal. Was about to a get a Jazzmaster too but I already have the Squier Mascis Jazzmaster, figured it might be overkill. Who knows, might grab one in the future if the Jaguar impresses me. The Mustang was calling out to me as well. Hard to pass up value like this.

Hey.. throughout July Fender/Squier has a $25 instant rebate, so you should get that too. Absolutely. it's offered by the manufacturer, not GC so they have to honor it.

When i pick up my guitar on friday i mentioned it. they jsut said "ok" and took off the $25.

If someone has a J. Mascis model and one of these Jazzmasters, please do a side by side comparison, if you will. Thanks!

How's your digestion now?

so1om: They state "dealer" - I don't think website vendors count towards that. Any idea people?

Surfbones: I too would appreciate that. Maybe I will ditch my JMJM for a VM model.

I emailed Guitar Center about it. They claim it is not a qualifying product. Here is their list http://www.guitarcenter.com/Squier,Guitar.gc?pcid=3590

The standard 13% off code of Friday13 did not work fro me either. Had to get a code from support via chat.
