I'm thrilled to announce our CD release show for "Tribal Fires" on Friday, March 2nd at our home base, the Melody Inn in Indianapolis. I'm even more thrilled that we will be joined by our good friends, the super-talented Cocktail Preachers from Chicago, and the young whipper-snappers the Mystery Men? from Atlanta (their first time in Indiana, or I suspect anywhere north of the Mason-Dixon line)! Besides these awesome guests, this will be a very special show for one other reason - it will be the only time we will play "Tribal Fires" IN ITS ENTIRETY! I expect that several of these songs will never be played live again. We'll add in a few fan favorites, too. It should be a blast!
So, to recap, here are the details:

Cover TBA (but probably $5-7)

damn, that is a great show lineup,but then to see the whole album in it's entirety. What I give do to be there.

I'll give about [5-7] bucks to be there.The whole album in it's entirety is an amazing concept.Screw waiting 20 years in the future when it's at legendary status,it's going down March 2,2012
I too want to see some fellow SG101-ers at this show.I'll even let you buy me a drink or two!

Thanks, everybody!! Glad to see the "playing the album in its entirety" concept seems to have met with enthusiasm! It's definitely fun for us, and something different, certainly a challenge! We practiced it all on Friday, and I think we're ready. Can't wait, and also to see the Preachers and the Mystery Men again!
and I think the SG101 jet is a GREAT idea! i'd be willing to contribute as much as $20 to get the fund started for it!

We're very much hoping he can make it happen. A potential problem is that the forecast is calling for some nasty weather in Indy tomorrow late afternoon and evening, so we'll see how it all works out. Indy is kind on the edge of the ugly weather front, so we're hoping it shifts southward and we're spared.
Anyway, looking forward to seeing some of you there! It should be a memorable night!

I'm so sorry that my wife and I are going to miss this one. Best wishes to Ivan and the rest of the guys for a great show and a huge turnout. I am happy to say that my family will be moving to Indy this summer (my wife just accepted an offer from U-Indy on Monday), so hopefully we won't miss too many more surf outings at the Melody Inn!

Great to hear you'll be coming, Curtis and the Ampfibians! And sorry to hear you won't, Nick, but excellent news about your move to Indy! Looking forward to seeing you more once that happens.
Here's hoping the weather isn't as bad as they're forecasting now. Indy should be mostly OK, it's right on the edge of the nasty weather, and the storms should be finished by 9 pm. But the Mystery Men are supposed to have severe thunderstorms and possibility of tornados for pretty much their entire trip tomorrow. Yikes. Unbelievable....
