I tried to buy a Aria Diamond DM-380 in Germany/Europe. Just discovered that they aren't sold in white here (any reason for this? Nope - you can buy black or sunburst). Some Ebay dealers in the US offer the model mentioned above, but won't ship interenationally. Any idea where/how I can get one? Any help is highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have seen this seller on ebay UK listing all colours including white. He is in the USA and ships to Germany for $85, but he states in his listing to email first about the colour availability. Gabba gabba hey and good luck!

How about a red one?

Worldwide shipping from the UK - should be no import duties to Germany.

Thanks Aire...will deffo check him out. Just sent a mail to him.
da-ron: it has to be white, but thanks a lot for taking the time!

Anyone got any kind of experience with this guitar? Got another confirmation from the store in town. They can order a black or sunburst model, but not white. Does this make sense? I don't think so.

The alternative would be a danelectro longhorn (not the bariton). What do you guys think?

/Edit: I also contacted the guy from the UK. Taxes from the US will be as much as the guitar itself...

Probably more than you want to spend, but NICE...

¥108,000 = 988.598772 Euros = $1384

That's a great price for a Mosrite copy if it's decent. Anybody know exactly what these are?

Which one, the Aria or the Kurokumo?

Sancho, the reason why the Arias are in short supply is because the European distributor based in England keeps very little stock. I bought an Aria Retro-1532 recently and the dealer who I ordered it from said the European distributor only had two in stock.

Would you consider an Eastwood? They have a European distributor in England who will deal direct. They have a Hi-Flyer Moserite style in white and also a Moserite MK II replica, much more expensive but total gabba gabba hey!

Eastwood Guitars

Sancho forget that previous link, here is the link to the Eastwood site that ships to Germany for 20-30 Euro and no damn taxes!

Eastwood guitars UK

Hey Aire,

thank you very much for your help! I already considered buying an Eastwood.
But then again, I'm looking for a white one and the hi-flyer doesn't have a tremolo iirc. I own a sunburst Mosrite Mark V, so the Aria would be a very welcome supplement. At a price of 250,00 EUR (~200,00 GBP/300.00 USD) it is very affordable and the reviews are also very good.
Ordering from the UK will solve my problem taxe wise Wink I have to find a UK dealer.

@morphball: $1384 + 19% taxes + 2% customs fee = 1649€ Cry

I have dealt with Project Music for a couple of orders including my Aria over the internet and they have been extremely helpful.
Project Music

Thanks mate! Just wrote another email Wink I hope I can find one...can't be that hard, can it?

The Hicadoolas

Good luck with that!

If you come across a Wilson Bros VM65 in Pearl White grab it with both hands. I have a blue one and it is awesome.image

Wow, looks nice! Thanks for the hint. Will have an eye on this one. I wish it wouldn't be so hard to get good gear in europe. Or maybe I should switch to a stratocaster and twin.

/Edit: I went through every Aria dealer in the UK now and wrote a couple of emails. Maybe I'm lucky.

A couple of dealers replied. Actually I could order any color Aria offers (red, black, sunburst, pink)...except white.

Arrived yesterday and sounds good so far. Need to buy some heavy strings.

For Sancho Pansen, Please consider FLATWOUNDS. (I use 10's cos' ya' can still bend the G string, but that's my sickness). Most of the original "1st wave" surf instrumentals were recorded using flatwounds.......& ya' can really get that "Fender Klunk" (even out of non-Fenders) & better "reverb drips" w/the flatwounds.....they are FABULOUS for surfmusic !!!!!

Hey Jon. I've tried flatwounds a couple of years ago and didn't like them.
But taste changes and I will give them another shot. Is there any brand you can recommend? I just equipped the Aria with .011 Nickel Wounds and it sounds great. But the strings feel very thin. Do fltwounds act/feel like regular strings. Or do they feel more heavy/loose?
