Permalink Kill, Baby...Kill! September News Letter!

New Topic

For Starters-
Things have slowed down just a bit for Kill, Baby...Kill! Over the past month we suffered a transportational setback that we are still trying to figure out a solution to. This doesn't, however, mean that we are not going to be playing out regionally. During September and October we do have a handful of dates to look forward to.

T-Shirt Design Contest
Kill, Baby…Kill! Is having a contest to find a new design for our upcoming T-Shirt. We are asking all of our fans to contribute their best work. The only rules are that it must be a 2-color design. Deadline is September 15th so start cracking. The winning designer will receive a lifetime entrance to all of our shows, a copy of our recent EP, a copy of our upcoming 7” and both our logo T-Shirt as well as the new design.

Upcoming Shows-
On Saturday, September 10th Kill, Baby...Kill! will be part of the closing festivities of the 2011 Run to the Sun festival in Memphis, TN. We will be playing at Kudzu's along side a handful of other great bands from the region. If you ride then we highly suggest going to www.memphismummies.com and signing up for this great 2-day event.

On Friday, September 23rd we will be playing a rare(for us) house show in Rome Georgia at The House of Horror.

On Saturday, September 24th we are honered to be part of the 2011 Clarkston Surf Fest in Clarkston, GA. This will be a free all-day festival featuring the best instro/surf bands from the Southeast. Bands playing include our friends Daikaiju, The Mystery Men?, The Monterreys, The Aqualads, The Surge, Necronomikids and many others. This is not a day to be missed.

For the month of October we will be returning to Tuscaloosa, AL and Egan's Bar for a night of madness on Saturday, October 15th. Joining us are our friends Landmine Spring, making their Tuscaloosa debut. Also playing will be the amazing Trabants from Boston, Mass.

Finally, Kill, Baby...Kill! have not one, but two special Halloween shows planned. On Friday, October 28th we will be returning to The Smoking Moose Saloon in Anniston, AL to continue what we started last year with our first show. This party should be amazing. We have coordinated with the Noble Street Zombie Walk and Pub Crawl in order to maximize the fun. Also, we have our friends Death of Kings coming from Atlanta, GA to bring their metal mayhem to the area. Also, making a triumphant return to the area, The Angel Sluts will be coming to help us ring in the Evil and Madness.

Then, on Saturday, October 29th, Kill, Baby...Kill! will be returning to Memphis, TN and Murphy's Bar to join the Angel Sluts for their annual Halloween Show. We could not be more excited about this and it should be an insane night of reverb-drenched madness.

NEW RECORD COMING-
While in Memphis next weekend we will be recording two songs for an upcoming split 7" record to be put out on Nowhere Records. We thank Ryan Rude for this opportunity. The split will be with The Angel Sluts from Memphis, TN and should be released some time after the first of next year.

NESMA SPOTLIGHT BAND FOR SEPTEMBER-
On a different, Kill, Baby...Kill! are the September featured band for the NESMA(North Eastern Surf Music Alliance) website. It is an honor to be a part of this great organization and for the to recognize the hard work we have put in so far.
