I'm really partial to The Impacts album.
But man, The Atlantics are really great as well.
There may well be individual bands and songs I like better, but for overall complete albums these are just out of the ball park.

Does it have to be a Real LP, or does a "best of" count? Anyways, Jeff(bigtikidude) |

Hummmmmmmmmmmmm, now let me think....................... Matching white Fender guitars................... Matching Blonde Fender piggyback amplifiers..................... Recorded May 1963 in RCA Studio B.......................... The best reverbed guitar tone in history................................ Geez, what kind of question is that? ed —Traditional........speak softly and play through a big blonde amp. Did I mention that I still like big blonde amps? |

Gotta say, that's probably my fave as well, although I also love the first Trashmen and Johnny & The Hurricanes LP's (but they aren't strictly surf). The Astronauts LP has it all - great music and cover art (the photo and the font they used are absolutely perfect). —Sean Surf CD's / Vinyl / Fanzines / DVD's |

The two Challengers´ Sidewalk Surfin´ LPs. Both are really top class, but to me the GNP-Crescendo one (The Good Guys´ LP) is also one-of-a-kind amazing work of instrumental perfectionism, thanks to the guitar finesse of Paul Johnson and Art Fisher (oh boy! what a guitar tandem!). Of course, the K39 album is a masterpiece too. |

I think I read this LP used a shot of a female surfer airbrushed to appear as a male silhouette. A pic also used on some other surf band LP. |
