Permalink Stop The Reverb From Crashing!

Here's a video showing how to fix this age-old problem. Please excuse my long, lame, boring presentation!

That's terrific! I think they could also provide plenty of vibration and shock-proofing during transportation and shipping of delicate or sensitive equipment, too. Thanks a lot!

This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got.

I actually did a mental fist pump when I heard the crash; good advice though, I guess you don't want too much of a good thing, haha.

I guess the question is, does the reverb still crash if you intentionally kick it? Dave?

Only if it goes between the goal posts...

Thanks Dave I ordered some. Do these work as decouplers for amps in the larger sizes?

I use these Sorbothane feet for quite some time now and they really work like Dave showed in his video. I never leave without them! You can also place them between your amp and cab to absorb the vibration from your speaker and give the tubes a break.
And yes, if you kick the reverb it still crashes. Just kick it from the side or from above.

I've found them in several sizes. What size do the folks who use them think is best to isolate a Reverb Unit?

What are the available sizes? Mine are 50mm x 25mm.

I've seen 3/4" to 2" diameter half-spheres.

I have the 2" x 1" which are good IMO. But I guess a number smaller would do the job as well. Order more than 4, they tend to get lost in the heat of the action.
Still haven't figured out a way to attach them permanently to my reverb...

Almost all the ones I've seen have adhesive backing, like these.

Jep, mine had that too. Didn't last too long unfortunately.

Sancho, where did you get yours?

Old punks never die... They just become surf rockers.

Hmm, I wonder if these would work between the tank and the existing feet -

Or the pricier option, just replace the feet with these -

OK, I'm a having a good fun gear day & that's still the funniest thing I've seen all week.
LMAO

Thanks for sharing. I don't gig but - even when perched atop a very generous chunk of foam that came from a Pelican case - my tank can still crash if I'm a little heavy-heeled in the room in bare feet.

I like this video because it features Skeleton Key, a personal favorite. Somehow I associate it stylistically with Daytona Mona, another favorite.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled uncrashing.

Great tip, thanks for sharing!the devil is in the details.

There's a HiFi store around the corner that offers them. I think they are 5,-EUR a piece. If you are interested I can buy some for you and throw them in the mail to France (I live 2km away from the french border).
