For what it's worth, Surf Report's ENTIRE Supersonic Salvation CD was recorded
without a single amplifier. We used a Guitar POD, a Bass POD, and a Guitar
V-Amp. We were very satisfied with the results.
You can download low-fi, mono MP3 samples at www.surfreportwebsite.com - or if
you have the CD, listen at home.
It allowed us all to play in the same room while recording, vibe off each other,
and mic the drums with zero bleed-through. (Drums recorded with an overhead
stereo pair of condensers, and a kick drum mic.)
