Re: Rinky Dink by Dave Cortez, and a question for DP

Jeff (bigtikidude) - 08 Oct 2005 21:18:55

Hey DP,
I believe the The Rinky Dink was the place that, DD used to play
at before he started playing at the Rendevous.
The Detonators do a cover of it sometimes.
it's one of those gawd aful songs that gets stuck in your
head , and can't get it out for days.
Jeff(bigtikidude)
how was the Blue Hawiians show last week, I went to the
Tiki Tones in Orange instead, didn't feel like driving to LA( again).

The Detonators (overhead_ted) - 09 Oct 2005 10:06:22

Jeff/DP,
We do play that dorky Rinky Dink song (and love it) sometimes. Rob W thought
it was so cornball it would be fun to play. And indeed he was right!
I didn't know the history of the song however. Thanks for the clarification.
I think it's the lame cha-cha-chachacha thing that gets stuck in your head,
Jeff. Or maybe it's just the voices talking to ya.
Cheers,
Ted

Ted,
I was never saying that you shouldn't play it( Rinky Dink).
And as for the voices. I don't hear them anymore, They are drown out
by the constant ringing of my ears now. :)
Cheers indeed, was a good weekend for Drinking with Adrien on Sat.
at Octoberfest, and Last night for my B-day. I need to give my liver
a break.

Jeff,
I know you probably went over your one Zima limit but that hardly should
cause liver damage!
Happy B-day big guy!
