He just jacked it into a sound board and played the samples. They were not
played through an amp so don't really use that as a reference. If you want
to hear one in action, try this link:
Towards the end of the song (around the 3:10 mark) a fuzz guitar comes in
and that's a Verbafuzz pedal. I think you'll get a better idea of the sound
that way.
