I'll start off by saying I don't like your band. But, even if that weren't true I must say I am very turned off by how you market your band and yourself. I can't explain it very well, but I feel you are very ostentatious. The above paragraph you wrote acts as proof. And in that paragraph you wrote: "Strange, I didn't see your name on the guest list?"1.) Pretty pretentious to rag on somebody for not being on a guest list. 2.) How can I take your band serious for playing private parties? I've never seen any advertisements for local gigs. Get out there and hit the bar/club scene like everyone else. Work for a percentage of the door and make your own draw. And don't post an advertisement for a private party. You posted this in a total "Check out how many cars I have!" manner.

Also, if you are such a great band don't waste time on Jeff. Never have a go at somebody who doesn't like your music. It's really pathetic.

So that is my opinion on your band. I'd love it if I can see that, over time, I was wrong about your band.

And now for the personal insult... You are an absolutely abysmal writer. I had to read that paragraph multiple times. Sentences just begin and end unannounced.

Thanks for your honesty. Im not looking to start anything here. Perhaps you are correct. I joined this website looking to meet cool people and join in the fun, after my picture was posted I was the target of hilarious ridicule, my Hair, my face, my guitar... everything but the music. After "Jeff" posted something about avoiding this show etc, I just had to stand up for Sprayface. Ive been playing clubs for 30 years mate, done them all, Playing in Az mostly where we are based. I market bands for a major label for a living, sure its pretentious, but I value your criticism. So, not looking to ruffle feathers, and abysmal penmanship aside, I look to put a positive spin on any of this: I love surf & Drag, as its in my heart & soul; Sprayface will continue to do what it does regardless.

Jake, how could you not like the marketing approach of a band that will BLOW YOUR MIND with IMPRESSIVE GUITAR TALENTS, HIGH ENERGY bass, and a SUPER FREAK and a RHYTHM MACHINE rounding out the lineup??? The mind reels...

You know what I realized that I was all wrong.

this is the best "surf" music on the face of the planet. I don't know why I was so rude.

Please everybody on this forum go to the shows, and buy the cds and t-shirts of this amazing band.

but....

Pyro Paul,

If you see them on Fri. at Lofflers.

please give us an honest review.

I will be going to a Private Surf Jam, and not be able to make it. Wink

Hey "Jeff" I can't believe you didn't make the guest list (or is it important enough to say "guest list" - or is it "Guest List" or even "GUEST LIST")?? I know you will be huddled in fetal position tearing your hair out over the fact that you won't be seeing "Gary Usher Jr" and his all Original Instrumental Surf & Drag Quartet “SPRAYFACE” (how does playing a cover of "Mag Wheels" or, as per their own website, 'upbeat rendition of the Byrds perennial “So You Want To Be A Rock ‘n’ Roll Star”' - make you "all-original" hmm?). You'll be missing out on some IMPRESSIVE GUITAR TALENTS. They are so sure to BLOW YOUR MIND that all their "names" are in "quotations" in order to properly convey the mind-blowing originality that you will be so unfortunately missing out on. I know that on your deathbed, you will rue the day you passed on an opportunity to experience the IMPRESSIVE GUITAR TALENTS of "(((((GARY)))))(((((USHER)))))(((((JR)))))®"

After all that fuss we didn't even make it on time to see them. It would have been cool, but we had to eat some food after walking around NAMM all day. We walked in just as Slacktone was setting up.
