Here's a translation of the concert review. I wish I could have been there - 2+ hours of the Bambis _Zagreb promotion of the album The Bambi Molesters, held yesterday in Theater & TD, was already sold out on Wednesday and at the last minute added another concert - no doubt, these days they are all crazy for Bambijima. However, some new material already presented last year in the Swamp, but this gig is only used as a light 'warming' the audience that Bambije in Zagreb has not seen for two and a half years. Yesterday's promotion in Theater & TD, therefore, was the first 'real' representation on that - how are announced in our interview - and invited many guests, and would not rest only on svirci care and record label Dancing Bear organiziravi small snack after concert. For starters, Bambiji out on stage alone - "Wanganui" and "Point Break" was done without the guests, that they are the first new things, "Wrong Turn" joined Luke Benčić, frontman of My Buddy Moose, who is on most things until the end of the concert Bambije Accompanied on the organ. On "High Wall" for the first time it appears and wind duo Andrej Jakus (trumpet) and Oliver Eres (saxophone), which culminated in the performance of songs from their new album "The Kiss-Off" - cameras and camera flashes are frcali, and the audience satisfied applauded. "Theme From Slaying Beauty" smash hit with "Sonic Bullets', raised the audience to their feet, like two happy songs that are often performed -" La Brutus "and" Little Beach Bunny "from the first cassette which, as following" Good Times "again sung by Dalibor. Trumpet and saxophone, and Andrei Oliver again and we could hear the great new things, "Siboney," a regular part of the concert ended the intense performance of a short but sweet "Malaguena," which was recognized in Brazil and is included in the opening credits one of their soap Operas, which always cause great audience reaction was so yesterday. On the first bisu band was joined by Chris Eckman, who participated in the creation of their new album, and this time sung by a matter of repertoire from the Strange "Tonight, I Will not Say Anything" and the song The Go-Betweensa " Rock and Roll Friend "and showed that is a real 'mate' surferskoj our quads. A little slower than others, "Latinia" closed the first encore, and the second played a few new things, among them one called "Trophy Run," which is not found on this album, but guitarist Dinko later said she loves to play and took it again after the end of the concert hall when it was already empty, the unplanned 'jammanju's still occasional fans. However, the audience is not allowed to go Bambijima only way you are and for the third time should return to the encore. "We still another," said Dalibor on the microphone and sang a cover of "Double Shot (Of My Baby's Love)", while mentioning that "it is not rehearsed," no doubt that at that moment to anyone noticed. And for the very end, after two hours and 10 minutes of music, performed and "Misirlou," the well-known theme from "Pulp Fiction", where the cameras were again pointed at basisticu Lada manner in which Uma Thurman fingers crossed in front of the eyes. A variety of guests, new arrangements of old songs, the band at a high level and 'hungry' svirki (though in Zagreb - with the exception of the aforementioned concert in the Swamp - not played a full 3 years), and to the audience but the most important critic, sold out the Great Hall Theater & TD was the best proof that Bambiji still welcome. And all those who failed to get a ticket for yesterday's concert, 'repetition' (not literal, of course) is expected today, the same place at the same time.

Does Croatian repeat every sentence twice? And Dinko is a she? Ha-ha, don't get me wrong, I appreciate the translation Danny, it's just kind of humorous. I'm assuming you went to Babelfish or some online translation service for this? —Site dude - S3 Agent #202 "It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea |

I read it on a different translator which referred to the band as "The Bamboo Molesters". By the way, did you notice Dinko's reverb unit? Looks like a Reverb Deluxe amp too maybe? ..They seem to have a whole range of Jazzmasters also. |

I think they each have one JM (the sunburst ones they were playing). The white '62 JM on the side of the stage was borrowed by Dalibor for the show as a spare. —Ivan |

Do you suppose if I credit the photographer we could use some of these photos as "Photo of the Day"? —Site dude - S3 Agent #202 "It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea |

Yes they have their vintage sunbursts each but Dalibor's looked almost new at this gig. I could show you pictures of the band with other Jazzmasters in various colours. |

Yes, they've had one or two MIJs through the years, but they're all gone now, sold off. Dalibor's JM was the same one he's been using for over a decade, maybe longer. (The reason I know this is that Dalibor and I have been talking about his attempts to get another guitar as a spare.) —Ivan |

I use to dream of having a blocked and bound sunburst Jazzmaster like the Bambi Molesters played. I really use to lust after those guitars because those guys made them seem so cool. Then my focuses switched to Jags and the custom colors. And rather as an accident I have ended up with two of that former dream guitar which I only bought then because they were dirt cheap for vintage guitars, but now I couldn't be happier I ended back up with the blocked and bound sunburst Jazzmasters. I really do love the Bambi Molesters. I must have watched Backstage Pass twenty times or so back in "the day". I haven't watched it in years, I think my current DVD players would block the region, as I can't watch a British shows I have on DVD |

Very cool about Lada's Orange. One of my favorite bass tones ever was from an Orange amp by a guy named Matt Sharp when he played Bass for a band called Weezer in the mid 90s. My '66 Sunburst is a really special Jazzmaster compared to the other one's I've played. It just has a little something extra when plugged in, compared to the majority of the vintage Jazzmasters I've played. I have a '73 as well, sounds pretty good, not as good as the '66 though. Two Super Reverbs, I feel sorry for your back. I'm 5'9 and I hate carrying those amps, If I were a couple inches taller I don't think I'd dislike carrying them as much. Mine is a '66 with a tweed bassman transformer which is absolutely huge and probably adds several pounds to the amp. And shockingly we made it this far without gear talk, I think that is a testament to just how great your music is. Normally, on SG101, we only make it a page or two before it becomes about gear talk even if it is about a band that is also great. You have a lot of passionate fans on this page. |

Hey, Super Reverbs are light compared to Orange. I wanted to say that I noticed quite a few fans here but sometimes I ignore this fact because I'm embarrassed. Anyway, thanks everybody for support. We really feel at home with all these people at the forum. I'm sorry I don't have time to contribute more often. Now it may seems like all I'm doing is self promotion:) |

Nothing at all wrong with self promotion... especially when it means new music from the Bambis. We are glad you are a contributor here, however often it may be. I really can't wait to get my hands on this album. Keep up the great work!! —
