well considering that the back up band knows the wedge, lets stick with that.

I will update the list tonight, promise.
damn, I'm lazy...
Rolling Eyes

You mean they know the Wedge but not A Run for Life? What hacks!

Excuse me? (drummer for the Detonators does indeed know A Run For Life)

Jeff Utterback

looking forward to the update Jeff...'cause I'm feeling a little confused right now...

It was a joke, they are the same song.

DP sorry I am a lazy bastard,
between e-mails and PM's and having to look at the thread and write it all down, then edit the list on page 1, and anywhere else it pops up in the thread its a bit depressing of a chore.
I will do it tonite.
or you get in free.
ok?

Jeff(bigtikidude)

bigtikidude
well they also do a 1/2 speed version of the Wedge also.
but I'm sure you don't know their arrangement of that.
Wink

You've seen a lot more shows than me, so I could be wrong, but isn't that a slow version of Miserlou that they play?

My Web Site - Tunes - Pictures - Guitar Projects - Hard Rock Cafe Guitar Pins

I think they do a slow version of both songs.

I'm cool with the Wedge at full or 1/2 tempo...

1/2 tempo might be cool, we could leave out the cymbals and add a drum machine and some scratching and random electronica...wait...i've gone off the deep end again...

like I said, the Wedge is cool!

Hey Dp,
Go here to check out our slow version of "The Wedge".
www.myspace.com/thedetonatorsusa

Same chords, but it seems to get a Spainish feel when you play it in slow motion. Just eat two qualudes before you start playing and you'll be fine. ;D
Billy

Be careful following the masses. Sometimes the "M" is silent...........................

I'm listening to it now. Cool!

Hey what's wrong with the wedge played slow. I always play it slow.... Wink Very Happy

I'm digging the slo-mo Wedge Action...very cool Hendrix-funk section wokawokawoka guitar...I also dig the burning staccato section...sweet...

Jeff wins.

That was excessively violent and completely unnecessary. I loved it.

Hey Big Tiki Dude.

If not already taken, pencil in the "Southern Surf All Stars" in for Journey to the stars!

Now hear this:
WoodyJ
Mad Scientist
Dr Matrix
S. Stechkin

Traditional........speak softly and play through a big blonde amp. Did I mention that I still like big blonde amps?

Eddie,
I just looked at the whole thread,
no one has taken it yet.
you guys got it.

Yikes! I thought 1/2 speed meant that it would be over in half the time, so I'm playing it at double speed I guess. How bout we compromise and play it at full Dick Dale speed?

I'll play drums on Penetration.

As long as we play Spunknik and Wipe Off afterwords.

Science friction burns my fingers.

Cool. This will be big time fun fo' sho' ("southern surf" slang for "absolutely."

el bumpo

Jeff(bigtikidude)

I was seriously about playing with you guys on Penetration.
