Cool idea! But an Epi Valve Jr cabinet is only 14.25" wide, hard to fit an Accutronics type 4 tank (like a Fender standalone).
I assume it uses the shorter tank, in that case it would be more like a ValveTrain Spring Thing.

I have a EVJ head sitting in a closet, played exactly 5 minutes.. another wasted bit of cash.. but i so love the way it looks:)
I had thought of doing that exact thing with it, but didnt cause a normal sized tank wouldn't fit:(
I would like to see the guys layout/schem though just outa curiousity...
P.S. i emailed him asking if i might get a sound clip or 2 with that being used as a tank... hope he has something.. am kinda curious bout this:)

I kind of have a problem with those shitmo mods in that you're spending money for information that's widely available on the internet for free and a couple of dollars worth of parts.
Now as for the reverb mod, maybe that's something new and exclusive but it hardly seems worth spending $90 to mod a $125 amp to make a half-assed reverb when you can spend about $250 and build a DIY "Fender" reverb with premium components and a NOS 6K6 for about $250.
Icetech, the EVJs aren't bad amps if you make a couple of mods to them. Like I said, these mods are widely documented on the internet (not exclusive to shitmo). My criticism of that amp is that in stock form it's too muddy and dark sounding.

I agree bout muddy and dark, and know bout the free mods on the net... i am just curious how he did the reverb tank mod.. And hell the guys prices really arn't bad, much cheaper than torres used to charge for fender mods for 20 years:) doubt ill be sending any cash off though..
P.S. build a 6g15 and it works great.. but no damn drip! bah!

Sent bruce a email and got a response:)
"The kit uses an Accutronics 8AB2A1B - 3 spring tank.
I plan to record and post some YouTube demos next week.
It is very "verby" - can get wetter than my '64 Princeton Reverb and Peavey Classic 30.
I use the original board. 2 caps get replaced, several resistors and caps and a jack get added. Wiring gets re-routed."
I'm gonna wait to hear some sound clips... i might try this just to do it and put that amp to use:) Although i pulled the amp out tongiht and played a bit.. really not a bad thing for $99.. just muddy:( gonna play with the free mods first..

Isn't that theoretically impossible?
I mean the 6G15 is "the" drippy reverb!! Why don't you spend the bitmo money on troubleshooting/repairing the 6G15 and getting it working?

Bruce just emailed me to let me know he posted a clip of a EVJ turned reverb tank....
I REALLY like how it sounds towards the end for a more hellbenders kinda thing.. but i don't know how you guys will like it for surf...

I "diy"d a Stage Centre Reverb, a sort of transistor-based spring reverb and it sounds good enough to my ears but .... folks, this mod looks and sounds VERY interesting !!
Some links about the pcb and/or schematics there ?

Sound clip is alright. Sounds like your run of the mill on board amp reverb IMHO.
