I'm really liking your version of Lowrider. Good idea to surfasize it, worked out pretty well. — |

"The Czar of the Surf Guitar" is a very cool tune. The Illuminoids really do a great job with their IvanP tribute tune...they really capture all that is Ivan-ness in this tune...from begining to end. |

Hey there! I found the 2005 compilation (the entirety of which I enjoy immensely, by the way) on archive.org when I was searching for possible music to use in a movie - "Mondo Stompo!" - that I'm working on. I cut "Drink! Stomp! Twist!" (by NorCalHodad, I believe) into one scene and it works beautifully in there! Do you guys know who I should contact to see if it's alright to use the song?? Thanks a million, |

Hey Dave, yeah, I totally agree! I feel very honored by this song, I think William and the Illuminoids did a fantastic job with it. I like it a lot. Actually, I'm completely blown away, that would be more accurate to say! The Illuminoids have a full-length CD coming out at some point soon, and I look forward to hearing the rest of it. Very nice job, BTW, with Lowrider! What a choice for a surf cover! Funny... I think the whole compilation is shaping up very well so far. I haven't listened to all songs, but I have listened to most of them. Great stuff! Ivan —Ivan |

I really like "No Can Tells", it's one of my favorite tunes, except I know it as "Comin' Home Baby" and to lesser extent "Scratchy". Also had a bridge to "Penatration" mixed in. I thought I was the only one to notice that both "Comin' Home Baby" and "Penatration" had the same chord progression. Again, I really like it, I've listened to it 4 times in the last 10 minutes —My Web Site - Tunes - Pictures - Guitar Projects - Hard Rock Cafe Guitar Pins |

Hey Folks, Also, a side note not mentioned in the "notes" of the song -- this is Kenan's second to last performance with The Lava Rats. And if you haven't done so yet, treat yourself and have a listen to Rodd on the LR bass - he's something else! ~B~ |
