Under The Covers With... The Tremelo Beer Gut

Just picked this up. Wow this is a really great album! Monkey

Last night's Mermen show from the Great American in S.F. It was an unusual (in a good way) show, review forthcoming.

Josh, I love the Tremolo Beer Gut. And with a name like that, they get certainly get awarded bonus points. Have you heard "The Inebriated Sounds of the Tremolo Beer Gut"? That's my favorite.

these guys are awesome!

At the Best Buy today getting the Who movie "Quadrophenia", just released today, remastered on Criterion blu ray.
In the cd section, I saw William Shatner had a new cd last year "Seeking Major Tom" , covers of spacey songs like Space Truckin, Spirit in the Sky, all done like only Shatner can do.
Here's the video of his version of Bohemian Rhapsody that's on the cd. Great stuff !

Connie Francis yes that Connie Francis of Where The Boys Are and other great "Beach Party" movies...

I am watching Where The Boys Are... so I figured I would learn to play the song seein as I had the sheet music layin around... sounds great as a melodic instrumental with lots o'sweet reverb!!!

"Maybe there aren't any surf bands; there's only surf music?" Tuck

I'm listening to some and enjoying the clips on Los Venturas website of Aloha Summer. I tried to buy it, but it's in a foreign language. Anybody know where I can buy the CD?? thanks, hl

Hahaha, I LOVE Shatner's cover songs. I liked his cover of Space Oddity on that album. But my favorite was his cover of Pulp's Common People on one of his older albums. It is GENIUS!

I totally gree. That song was one of my favorites from my favorite Pulp album and Shatner/Joe Jackson took it to a new level. AMAZING tune. Too bad Pulp tanked after "A Different Class."

Anyone ever seen Shatner's performance of Elton John's "Rocket Man" where he smokes a joint? More classic Shatner!

More Shatner madness!

Red Hot Chili Peppers live in Zagreb. Not that I want to but the gig is close to my flat and I can see stage from my balcony:)

Slacktone - just got 2 of their cds today, sounds great!!!

In a Post-Rock mood today. Love this track. Repetitive but powerful.

I haven't listened to this song in a while so I looked it up again. Simply the greatest music video ever created.
