Brian
Rob, try doing a "save-as" on the file from the link here. If you have iTunes you should have no problem playing the .m4a file.
Tim - just google "AAC to mp3" or "m4a to mp3" and you can find converter programs.
Brian I did what you suggested and tried out the first one I found:
http://www.maniactools.com/soft/m4a-to-mp3-converter
It worked fine.
Thanks also Lady Reverb and Danny for your efforts!

I thought the Shigeo interview was nicely edited, like the pros do. Did you notice how Shigeo would start talking and then Masa's (sp?) translation would start very soon after over Shigeo? Just like on NPR. Did you do that Ferenc?

sorry to be a wet blanket as HBKahuna always calls me.
but to me,
the fade out of Shigeo was not fast enough.
I was trying to hear what Masa was saying, and I could still hear Shigeo in the background, and it made it hard for me to focus on what Masa was saying.

Yeah! Another cool podcast.
Enjoyed the Eleki segment. That's something I haven't heard a lot of. Good stuff.
I also like the enhanced podcast format.
Nice work, Lady Reverb and Danny. Thanks!

Your welcome everyone. Is anybody having trouble with the "enhanced" podcast i.e. AAC format?

Adrienne and Danny, I finally had a chance to listen to the podcast and all I can say is - you've really outdone yourselves with this one. I love, LOVE every single track on there! Shigeo's interview was excellent (awesome job, Ferenc!!!), and Adrienne is such a natural on the mic. Langhorns song is playing right now, and I'm giddy from joy after hearing the whole thing! Thank you for this labor of love. Everybody needs to hear this!!

Wow. All 5 episodes have been great.
It's the only music podcast I find worthwhile listening to (all the others being spoken word). Just the right mix of talk and tunes, and the selection of tunes is close to what I might have picked if I was running it. It's also the only podcast I subscribe to for which I have disabled "auto delete" because I like to keep all 5 episodes on my iPod.

Nope. I hadn't noticed it until I read this thread. (using a 2nd Gen. iPod Nano, and iTunes 8.0.2 on a Mac OS X Leopard system)

If you download it off iTunes and play on an iPod, you can now jump around to any song or segment of the podcast. The iPod even shows the name of the song while it's playing. To access that feature hit the select (middle) button 2 times while playing. ...
When I first played it on my iPod, I thought something was wrong with the rendering of the progress bar,and therefore with my iPod firmware.
After I spotted the titles in iTunes, I went back to the iPod and only then realized that those funny little marks were a digital visual equivalent of the gaps between tracks on vinyl records. Very cool feature.

Excellent podcast!
I had not heard "Black Sand Beach" before. What an amazing song. Super catchy. And I just looove that backing guitar sound. Kind of low and humming. My eyes have been opened...
