Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'll buy it. Those things aren't exactly sitting in every shop window in town. And to be philosophical about it, $400 in the bank is not going to mean as much as that red SGV in my room.

I paid $500 (255 GBP) for mine +40$ shipping. It was immaculate condition and came with a Yamaha hard case. Worth every penny I'd say. As someone said earlier, there aren't enough of them around for the prices to be consistent. —http://www.myspace.com/thepashuns Youth and enthusiasm are no match for age and treachery. |

I have a black SGV300 with SGV800 pickups (similar to Mosrite pups, I am told) in a white pearl pickguard that I might be willing to sell. It's in good shape. PM me for details. |

800 or 300, Jake? I emailed Ishibashi Music and they sent me a reply saying that the SGV-800 in particular had been discontinued. I asked for that model in particular, so I don't know if that applies to the rest of the series. Thanks, Jamie. I'll let you touch it at practice. —The Mystery Men? |

Pfft. I broke the bridge on my 300 when the vast majority of you in this thread were wearing short pants. </jaded> -Warren —That was excessively violent and completely unnecessary. I loved it. |

In case anyone was wondering if this thread would have a happy ending, it's time to unfurl the Mission Accomplished banner. One metallic red SGV300 now sits on my couch! Couldn't get the guy down from $400 as he'd already reduced it once, but he threw in a Yamaha gig bag, the 'missing' whammy bar, a pack of Slinkies, some patch cords, and a black webbing strap (exactly what I wanted, except for the Fender logo, but beggars can't be choosers). Next stop: raised pickups. Thanks to all of you who weighed in with the SGV advice. Time to go plug this baby in again. Yamma-dabba-doo! |

You still got a good deal man. I've always been one of those people that can't justify a frivolous purchase unless I'm practically STEALING something. I bought my first SGV for $250 and my next one for $275. After getting the jones again I kept searching but could never find one going for much less than $400. That's just the going rate these days. I lucked up on my Craigslist find for $250. —The Mystery Men? |

That's great, 'cause I'm pretty sure my next guitar will be a Mosrite! Wanna trade? |

I may have one (SGV) for sale soon. A pink one that someone won from a game show.
