I don't know of any that are really good and legally free to download. I always found T-Racks to be the best mastering software.

Youth and enthusiasm are no match for age and treachery.

I use Sound Forge Pro. It's pricey but it will do just about anything to a wave file. They also offer it as a home edition for about $60 which is a great bargain for what it will do. The main thing lacking in the bargain basement edition is the Wave Hammer brick wall limiter, which speeds up the finishing process greatly. If you have some really flat response speakers, a good listening area and lots of time, the do it yourself approach is a lot of fun. If you want miracles, use a pro mastering house.........ed

Traditional........speak softly and play through a big blonde amp. Did I mention that I still like big blonde amps?

yes...i,m using sound forge pro...NOW and is perfect a lot of thnaks... only for my personal editions..
for a profesional mastering i prefer analogic compresion..
with old 60,s compresors..
but in Home...i,m using this now..
thanks a lot...

I have a pair of the old DbX-160x compressors strapped across the output of the Mackie 32-8 and they are amazing for sure. But for finalizing tracks, I love the quickness and relative ease of the digital processing. Old dude......lazy dude. ed
