Following a thread on the "Internet Videos" Forum (click here) it was suggested that we introduce ourselves to the forum...
We are "Surf Punk Disco Panzer"
The Band consists of:
Stan Diego - Guitar
Dan Francisco - Guitar, Vocals
Les Vegas - Drums
Lou Orleans - Bass
We are from the county of Norfolk, in or around a town called King's Lynn on the East Coast of England.
The inevitable Myspace link: www.myspace.com/surfpunkdiscopanzer
Here's a link to our latest Horror Double Bill consisting of a cover of "Haunted house of Rock" together with a version of "Goo Goo Muck" (which we've only practised about twice so far) this is all very much Work in Progress

We've been Surf fans for years....in fact Dan Francisco and I used to do a lot of electronic stuff under the name of Morbius and we covered the Satan's Pilgrims track "Shit Sandwich" on our first album back in 1998 (which we mistakenly marked up as "Pilgrim Stomp" Doh!!)
If you want to hear it then you can download it for free from here along with a cover of The Cramps "Garbageman" from our second album (be warned though, there are no guitars on either of these 8O)

We did the electronic stuff for about 12 or 13 years but we always had a great love for Surf and Rock and Roll Instro's so we formed this band a few months ago.
Not many Surf/Instro bands make it over here to the UK. The Pilgrims are top of the list if they ever make it though (next in line would be The Ghastly One's and Deadbolt). In fact we have just added a cover of Deadbolt's "Truck Driving Son of a Bitch" to our setlist
For the Gear heads among you the current list consists of:
Stan D.
Gretsch 6119 Tennessee Rose
Fender '52 Telecaster
Eastwood Sidejack DLX (Mosrite Clone)
Vintage Icon V100 (Peter Green Model)
Vox AD60VT Amp
Dan F.
Fender 'Big Block' Strat
Fender Telecaster
Burns Shadow Special Edition
Fender Cyber Deluxe Amp
Lou Orleans
US Fender Jazz Bass
Marshall 3530 300w Bass head & 1540 4x10 Cab (25th Anniversary edition)
Les Vegas
Yamaha Electronic kit (so he can practise in his flat without getting evicted!!)
We're beavering away on our set list, give it a few months and we should start to appear out and about (at extremely exclusive events only of course)
This forum looks great, I've spent about 3 hours this morning just reading through it...loads of bands for me to check out and some great tips, techniques and tabs from the musicians here.
I can see this place becoming a MAJOR distraction when I'm at work
Stan D.
PS: For any of you who are inclined to a bit of electronic music as well, we also have another band called...wait for it...Synth Punk Disco Panzer, you can check them out here:
