Permalink Can you use the Surfybear Studio in front of guitar amp?

I’ve been jonesing to get a stereo live rig going. Yet, I’m trying to keep it as analog and traditional, as possible. Lastly, I’m trying to keep it as compact and uncomplicated as I can.

Mainly, I’m wanting the reverb to be stereo. I want real spring, not digital. I suppose I could split the signal into two and then have it go into the two reverb units I currently have (6G15 and Surfybear classic). But it would be nice if there were a single unit to make it less complicated. Can the Surfybear studio be used like this? Or is it strictly for studio use?

Seems like the Surfybear Studio could be used that way. It's a rack mounted effect, which is more typical for studio use, but plenty of guitar players have rack mounted rigs for playing live.

On the other hand, are you looking for a real stereo effect or just want to send the guitar signal + reverb to two amps simultaneously? If the latter, you can just get splitter pedal and put it after the reverb tank.

Hi Sam,
Yes, you can use the Studio as a live rig. In fact, a pretty well known guitarist does just that for his live shows.
As edwardsand suggested, you could also check out a splitter. We recommend our Stereomaker Advanced ABY Splitter from Surfy Industries (of course we do, it rules). https://www.surfyindustries.com/stereomaker
