If u have heard around the shallow end from me, I wanna start a band that is thrashy, and surfy(sounds a little gay with the y) But with horror themes for. So, if anyone in the Orange county area can play either metal(thrash) or surf guitar. Also, looking for a drummer and a bassest. Practices must be atleast once a week on weekends(so it doesnt get in the way of work). Anyone interested just drop me a message. Atleast gotta get 2 other member of any intrument to start jamming. oh, and I location to jam, not my apartment obviously. um age??? say 17 to 20 at the most. Older will be inspected, lol.

Alex,
I'm too old for your band 35, but sounds interesting.
Bummer I live in Anaheim,
do you go to any surf shows in OC?
there are tons around.
Go to the surf museum in HB and see a show.

Ive just gotten into surf about a month ago, so Im new to the music
See, im a no graduate and I dissapointed a few people, like my parents. They arent really all to thrilled, but they respect my judement. Anyways, Im off on a wrong foot with them because of that. Im just trying to gain my parents respect for me. Ive found a full time job, Im helping to pay the bills, and im staying away from my alcoholic friends. A life change if you could say. I didnt want to bug them about concerts so much. Im also into the Industrial scene aswell and 3 great bands Ive been listeing too just past. Im onloy going to shows that I really really must go, like to see my idol Wednesday 13.

As Danny said get your parents interested in what you are doing. Share with them your passion. You are probably too young to go to many surf shows. Come out to see us on September 9th at the Huntington Beach Surf Museum. I was 20 and other bandmates were 19 when we started the band. We are slightly older now but due to your age I think it would be cool to come out and see some fellow youngsters doing the same thing you love.

I agree, surf music is a very family friendly environment.
The surf museum shows are out side in the parking lot, and Free.
My parents show up for some of the shows at the Museum or the HB pier.
My mom went to the last 4 or 5 Baja Cantina shows with me.
Of course I'm 35 now and don't hate my parents as much as I did when
I was your age.
But make it a family thing, and they wont feel so alienated.
and it may help mend things between you and them.
gosh I sound like a grown up now. yuck yuck yuck....

p.s. who is your musical Idol you mentioned?

Thanks guys. But, ive always been close to my parent all my life. Ive become (by popular demand) practicully emo, lol. I really love my family, but I wanna really get away freom them. Too much drama and shit going on. It totaly suck that I havent gotten my licence yet, so Im trapped. Im still looking for my options on what I can do for myself right now.
Oh and my idol Is Wednesday 13. He's most recognized with the Murder Dolls awhile back. He has his own solo career now, and he is doing a amazing at it. Gonna see him for the 3rd time on the 23 this month.
