Permalink WTB: Mosrite! Or Hallmark!

Wanted: Vintage Mosrite!

I'm on the hunt for a player's grade Mosrite. Preference is for an actual vintage Mosrite MKI or Ventures model. Cosmetic issues are fine, playability and tone are the goal. I once owned a totally beat black one from '68 that I've always regretted selling, so I'd love to get an actual 'Rite back in the house.

I’m also open to a nice Fillmore or even a Hallmark, but thought I'd see if anyone's willing to part with a vintage one.

Let me know what you have, what condition it's in and what you're looking to get for it, and we'll strike up a deal!

Not what you are asking for at all, but if it does help, I LOVE my Hallmark Custom 60! Gorgeous sparkle paint, trem is so smooth. I totally get it if you want vintage but don't sleep on the Hallmarks while they are still being made fresh!

Oh, I’m definitely down with Hallmark! I’ve owned a couple over the years, but Bob Shade hasn’t had any I. Stock for a while. Sounds like they won’t have production ramped up until later this year.

in the meantime, I’d be open to a used one but figured I’d test the waters. There were some subtle differences between my previous Mosrite and Hallmarks - body depth, trem feel and pickups - but I’d be open to a used Hallmark, as well.

Look into jason ingrodi. He builds them still. Cheap. More accurate than Hallmark's.

Great call on Ingrodi! I’ve talked with him a bit about a Mosrite build, but figured I’d test the vintage waters before committing to a custom.

There is a Hallmark for sale on this forum and one popped up on Reverb if you still looking.

Thanks for the tip-off, Futureboy! I’m currently hoping to buy the one here on the forum.
