After many years in the works, we are beginning to release new surf music as a side project from the founding member and guitarist, David Hineline, and original drummer, Tim Roth, from the Kahuna Kings. The Kahuna Kings are still quite actively performing.
This music is more progressive than the trad surf sounds of the Kahuna Kings but retains the trad, heavy drip, surf guitar sound but combines that with classic rock progressions and modern themes.
I wanted to culminate my lifetime of various musical influences into a sound that brings many forces together. Tim and I both love Rush for instance and have spent a lifetime in study and appreciation for not only their music but their dedication in a studio setting. We set about through hours of work in the studio over the last year to produce the tracks that will be released in the future.
The first single is 7 1/2 minutes long and was very complicated to track. The theme is chaos and my love of storm chasing with a vision of Dick Dale and Rush in the studio together. The title is Climate of Catastrophe.
Listen or purchase track on Bandcamp.

Thanks Vitally! The initial writing started 4 years ago. Sat on it but continued to add things to the composition over time. I think waiting patiently to record it paid off in the end.

I am recording now the tunes I wrote 10 years ago, so I understand you)

I admire those that can force the time to produce great music on top of their normal lives. My business life is very intense. Recording great music takes focus and the ability to drop everything. No phones! No Webinars or conference calls!
