Translucent clean boost to light drive and medium crunch, perfect for pushing your reverb tank into new territory!
ps. bass control all the way left responds like a vintage Boss SD-1 is it uses a similar asymmetrical clipping that produces both even and odd harmonics, resulting in harmonically rich distortion that sounds layered. As you swing the bass control to the far right (after 2 oclock) the bass signal is removed from the clipping circuit and the low end cleans up, uncompressed resulting in a very open and woody response from your unwound strings, this response is similar to the way a Timmy pedal responds in the low range. Mind you, this pedal is not built like either of these pedals, and goes a different direction as its high headroom audiophile OPA2134 opamp is getting 9v to each rail of the chip via an added charge booster inside that supplies 18v to the circuit. Again its not just upping the voltage to the circuit like some of these other pedals do, rather its making the Opamp respond more cleanly and articulate, instead of bogging down when other boosts and drive pedals are in front of it. So it loves to sit right after a Brain preamp or your favorite boost. Or stacked w another Fluid Drive.
