John Blair brought up a very good point to me today…why hasn’t anyone posted about the 2023 Surfer Joe Summer Festival on SG101 yet???

I have ordered two VIP tickets and my son has already booked
a two single beds room in the Grand Palazzo hotel nearby
the festival site ( I had been staying there in 2014 and 2015
and I was very pleased with its service !!!)
I am looking forward to meet as many as possible of the
SG 101 members and new persons as well as old friends.
Only 5 months and two weeks to wait ....

Can someone tell me how the Surfer Joe Festival works? I only see VIP tickets available, limited to 200 tickets.
Aside from the VIP perks, is the main festival free?
Thanks, Tired, for the hotel recommendations. Are there any other recommendations for hotels nearby?

Hotel Navy down the street about 1 mile.
I believe it’s cheaper from what I have heard.

I bought my VIP ticket and booked flights yesterday! 
There was some initial hesitation because half of my brain is still in covid-safety-mode (especially since I spent the Christmas holidays in isolation), but knowing myself: If I don't take steps towards going to the festival now, things like work will find a way to get in the way much more easily...

Looking very impressive, and not just the lineup of bands but also the symposiums and other activities. Les Agamemnonz VIP only in the Tiki Room got me thinking of this...

I booked 7 nights at Palazzo (across the street from Surfer Joe) only a few minutes ago. Not all the rooms are taken - I have a confirmed reservation. Maybe it is different if reserving for shorter than 7 nights? Your post scared me

booking.com shows no rooms for 22-26 of June. Their site also.
