I love so many beaches... the best ones are empty with good body surfing waves. The worst ones have a bunch of garbage on them —Buy Speed of Dark @ Bandcamp |

Besides Huntington Beach, the beaches in St Pete & Clearwater FL are my faves. The sand is white or a pinkish white and fine, almost like powder. On the flip side, there's no waves on the Gulf of Mexico. It is humid & too many bugs. Last edited: Oct 05, 2022 16:05:43 |

Koh Phi Phi in Thailand was pretty amazing when I visited. And I'm biased because it's practically my second home, but Florida panhandle has pretty much perfect sand. About as fine as it gets and pure white. I sometimes watch this video I made (which was really just fiddling with my drone) just to wish I was there. The waves are pretty bad for surfing though. — |

Megan's Bay, St Thomas US Vergin Islands. It's hard to get to but that makes it the best...no tourists or nit wits walking up yelling hi y'all where are you from? —Happy Sunsets! |

Ski movie maker Warren Miller was once asked what was his favorite ski area. He said it's always the place I'm skiing that day. As long as the lifts are running, there is snow on the mountain and the sun is shining that's the best place to ski. Might apply here. We still miss you Warren. —Happy Sunsets! |

I'm with BTD on this one. Ke’e beach at the far north end of the road on Kauai, Hawaii is definitely the most beautiful beach I've ever seen. When I was there (many years ago), the sand was pure white and, on one section, there were wild, pink flowers (which looked like orchids) growing down toward the water. When you turned around there was a black mountain with green plants covering most of it with split tailed birds white birds flying around. For you older surfers, this beach is where they filmed the beach scenes for the 1958 movie South Pacific. —Patrick |
