Saw this on eBay:

A brownface Twin is already suspiciously surf but I see a Jaguar and a blonde reverb and I can see no way that the owner of this amp isn't on the site.

BRB buying lottery ticket.

They who die with the fewest control knobs, win.

I bet.

On EBAY?!!!! What! Yeah I recognize that Twin. What is for sale?! Post the link!

Ralf?

Jeff(bigtikidude)

Yep, same amp as in video posted by Redfeather. Link to ebay sale is in original post - click on Buying Lottery Ticket.

For sale for 7500 Euros. Too much if you are in the US, but sounds beautiful.

So it is Ralf! I'm hoping it's just a "routine downsize", since he also just bought that limited edition Squier Jaguar I've been drooling over lately.

I think my hatred of digital stuff is well established, but I was still cross when I found out that Fender's new "one-trick pony" modelling amp range included a Blonde Twin, but it was STILL blackface. A Classic Vibe Jaguar, a Surfy Bear Classic and a digital brownface would have been the ultimate neo-surf rig on a budget.

For the love of god Fender just make a real blonde reissue... Modelling, FET, Tube, ust... make something.

They who die with the fewest control knobs, win.

Price is high, yes... but if someone is interested, it´s negotiable of course.

Is there another one for sale on this planet?

Maybe. A real bargain here: https://www.vintageandrare.com/showroom/product/Fender-Twin-1962-Blonde-3089#prettyPhoto
But this 1962 one is too clean for my taste... I play mine live also. It´s always sad for me when I see those nice brownface amps only on "collectors" pics.... Sigh

Twang cheers!

To be clear, they said "Too high for US prices". This stuff is always more expensive in Europe because it's so much rarer here. Smile

How are you getting on with the Silver Jaguar?

I never had a chance to compare with real ones but I just love “blond” switch on Quilter Superblock US. Firstly I was more into “blackface” 65, but now I found myself using only 61. May be Quilter did what Fender missed?

Yes. I guess Quilter is doing a hell of a good job since years.

Twang cheers!
