We love Nokie Edwards but it doesn't mean that we never listen to Gerry McGee. In fact, we think he is just as stylish, especially playing Manchurian Beat!!! So my kid Mina decided to do a Gerry McGee live version as a tribute to one of our favorite guitarists. She has decided she would play more surf tunes with guitars that have humberbucker pickups. Hope you like the video!

Wait, hold on. Does Mina play with a thumb pick?!! I had not noticed this before. Cool! Excellent performance as always. The 2nd camera angle is cool! She’s so lucky to have a dad like you.

Am glad you like it! Yes, she plays with a thumb pick. I personally do not know of nor have seen any other guitar player around us who uses a thumb pick. She used to use the thumb pick only, and said it was much easier to pick faster and all. Either she used a thumb pick or just her fingers. but recently, she is finally using more the regular pick for playing other genres. Wink
