Permalink Little Kahuna new demo, is it surf?

New Topic

I’ve been pushing surf into different directions with my Little Kahuna release and just finished a demo that we have not recorded yet with the band. It’s called Puka Shells and one friend described it as:

Very mellow, nice tune. Good use of the tremolo bar, without over doing it.
I felt like I needed to be at a grass hut bar on a beach at dusk, in shorts, Reef sandals and a Hawaiian shirt, with a fruity cocktail with a paper umbrella in it, watching the sunset. If that’s what you were going for, mission accomplished!

Your thoughts?

Beautiful tune! I love the melody and where you go with it throughout the song. BTW, I love the graphics on the Little Kahuna band shirts!
