I'm not affiliated and they'll probably get sold by the time anyone sees this, but I got a little giddy today when I stopped in to buy some replacement knobs for a guitar.

Also: Lansing, MI. The Bassman is revision B. The Showman didn't have enough of the label left to tell. Both are 1962 according to the store, but I didn't dig into condition or provenance because I was in a hurry. —Last edited: Dec 07, 2021 16:27:02 |

Guitar Center, Lansing, Michigan. Again, I'm not the seller! Just wanted to share a sighting in the wild. There was a bunch of vintage stuff, maybe all from the same person. That's a Magnatone next to the Bassman, and there was also a neat old Ampeg. —Last edited: Dec 07, 2021 19:32:49 |

This reminds me of the time I scored my 61 Showman head at a GC in Bakersfield... I got tunnel vision and wouldn't leave without it... Also, prices have gone up a little in the past 12 years! Plus mine came with a handle and a back panel ! |

BrentD, Thank you so much for sharing this info, I just bought the Showman! It'll be coming back home to Orange County California. I called the store and they plugged it in to make sure it works, it does. I put a down payment on it through my local guitar center. It's still on the mandatory 15 day police hold so I'll have to wait a bit. You have a great eagle eye, spotting this gem. I'm so stoked!! Thanks again for your thoughtful PSA. SandBug, that's awesome. I hope you love it! I went in today out of curiosity and the Bassman is still there but the Showman is gone from the floor. I'm glad it's going to a good home. I think the tag on the Bassman said available on 12/17, so maybe we're halfway there already. I've been on a bit of a gear buying tear this year and I have to say I'm as happy that you got this as I would be buying it myself. —Last edited: Dec 10, 2021 19:12:38 |
