As a matter of housekeeping, have they improved the rest room situation agt the pier? It's been 3-4 years since I've been there, but the lines for the facilities were crazy. Some of us old guys want to know!

I did check on a flight. $1120. I don't think I'll be there. The last time I flew to LA it was $689 in 2016. I thought that was too much but it was reasonable when compared to now.

If you park inland from the beach far enough, on the streets, it’s free.
if you park in the lots by the pier or on the street it costs.
There is grass to sit lay on. Bring a towel or blanket.
Or big cement steps,chair Height to sit on. Bring a pillow or padding if you need, it’s a long sit. There is not much shade,many people bring beach chairs with little clip on umbrellas. Or big floppy hats for shade.
