Just downloaded the new Expressway Sketches release from Bandcamp.

SURFIN' THE DAY, LOVIN' THE NIGHT
Some tunes have a noir tinge, reminding me of the Aqua Velvets (Guitar Noir), a few are "out there" (this is a jazz group, after all), others are in the surf music camp. One tune, with a strong Mermen flavor, piqued my interest, since I'm not familiar with it:

Anyway, a release definitely worth checking out.
