Apologies if this has been asked before. There are a lot of SurfyBear threads and I can't read them all.
Whenever I see a low-profile metal enclosure sitting on the floor, my first instinct is to slap velcro on it and start attaching pedals. It's a guitar player thing.
My home rig is straighforward- reverb tank -> volume pedal -> tremolo. I'm putting together a travel rig and would like to do the same.
I noticed the SurfyBear has a volume control, nice touch, so I might actually get away with just the tank and the tremolo. (and probably a tuner...)
I know there's a DIY kit so it could be housed in anything, but I don't have the time or the tools for it. Besides, I like gear that actually works.
Alternatively, I suppose I could duct tape a PedalTrain Nano to the top of the unit.

Just think about what will happen every time you stomp on your tremolo pedal. If you’re happy to have a huge reverb crash every time you turn the tremolo on or off, then I suppose it might work. If not, it probably won’t.

Man, you can do whatever you want with it. Save space and use the surface of the SurfyBear as a board. Btw... the DIY kit is not existing anymore. Discontinued since Jan 2020.
Please feel free to write us at sales@surfyindustries.com to have more into ;)

I have a KORG Pitchblack PEDAL TUNER with a "silent switch" and a Dunlop DC-Brick Velcro'd to the top of my SurfyBear Metal. I don't have reverb crashes or rattles when I engage/disengage the tuner.

When I first bought the SurfyBear Metal this occurred to me. At the end of the day, I can't bring myself to do it. I just ended up picking up a Pedaltrain Nano+, roughly the same length as the SurfyBear, and just stick it in front of the SurfyBear.
