Here is a pic of the new guitar I built
It’s a crazy concept I had of a hollow Jaguar but with a 4 pickups option like a dipinto

That is indeed crazy. What are all the specs? And how does the switching work? |

COOOOOL! Dig that fretboard too! I would love to hear some samples, especially compared to normal guitars. The different placement of the pickups is very intriguing! I wonder how plucky those two Jag pickups are? Probably not much? —Daniel Deathtide |

So when building this I made slight miscalculation |

Would moving the bridge forward one fret solve that? That ridge pick up would have to move out of the way sadly. Or you could put a capo the first fret? —Daniel Deathtide Last edited: Nov 27, 2020 07:07:06 |

How far off is the bridge? Are the notes up the fretboard sharp or flat? —If I'd stop buying old guitars to fix, I might actually learn to play. |

OK. Distance from nut to bridge is too long. You could do three things. One, take some wood off the end of the neck beyond the 22nd fret. A disk sander would be ideal for this. Two, route some of the body and file the pickguard so the neck fits closer to the bridge. Fill the screw holes in the neck and drill new holes. Third, fill the bridge holes and drill new ones closer to the neck. Cool guitar. Make it work! —If I'd stop buying old guitars to fix, I might actually learn to play. |

Doing some quick measurements and calculations, looks like you would need to move things so the neck and bridge are 1 inch closer together. And that would not be easy to do and preserve the way things are currently configured. I'd say get a new neck of 25.5" scale and sell the old one (or save it for another project). I'm sure that neck was not cheap, but it would be far easier than keeping the neck and messing with the pickguard, bridge, and neck pocket (and perhaps relocating pickups). Here's what I found measuring my guitars: Basically, that means your guitar currently has a 25 inch scale length, and at the 12th fret, it is going to be 1/2" off. |
