Okay so I tried to incorporate your suggestions. I think we managed to improve it somewhat. It’s just a working demo and I am still kinda new at this. I will definitely be taking lessons.

Sonic,
Keep plugging away; remember a lot of the early surf hits that are lauded here were done by groups of non "semi-professional community of aficionados". Also, there is a large contingency of SG101ers who are not at that level, and probably don't aspire to be. (You can't tell me "Big Surf" is a high-end technical or recording production; the bass drops out at the end of the bridge)

DON'T WAIT UNTIL YOU HAVE A PERFECT PRODUCT TO POST IT - BUT IF YOU PUT SOMETHING OUT THERE, EXPECT THERE WILL BE SOME RESPONSES YOU DON'T LIKE. I've been playing, gigging and recording for 43 years, gigged up and down the east coast and played a lot of different styles of music. Sometimes they clapped, sometimes they didn't. One thing I feel, is sometimes the rawer, less slick and underproduced recordings are more musically satisfying to a select crowd; so is listening to people learn the songs you love and playing them.

So, yes strive to improve, listen to the semi-professionals guidance and remember you are going to get some people here who are going to jump down your throat, hopefully to help you, not make you feel like you are substandard. You'll also get the constant cheerleaders who will say every friggin' song posted is great. But there will also be a lot of us who lie somewhere in-between; encouraging you to get better in a constructive way, pointing out mistakes and waiting to hear your next recording to see if you've grown. It takes time.

With that said, I'll give these new tracks a listen as I go through paying the family bills! Remember - everyone here I think means well, we just all have different ways of expressing it. Cool

Sonic,
Gave them a listen. Surf Rider still off at 1:55, but better.

I'd say give yourself a little time and post again when you've got a little bit more practice under your belt and have started developing your own style. All three recordings were solid, but sounded a little bit more like a practice tracks instead of demo tracks for a group. Feel free to Private Message me if you want me to give a listen to some future tracks.

Good luck and keep at it!
