I use an MXR Carbon Copy. It is pretty versatile and you can dial in some pretty good analog delay sounds. I don’t think it is in the Strymon league , but it does a fine job. I mostly use it live to create a fuller guitar sound in our trio. Rev —Canadian Surf |

I use both MXR Carbon Copy and TC Electronics Flashback but when I listen to traditional surf music there is no delay. Delay is not really part of the surf sound no matter how much we love it. |

There’s a lot of delay use in modern surf and I like it. Great example is Ivan Pongracic. If you just wanna stick to 60s traditions, probably yes, no delay! —Waikiki Makaki surf-rock band from Ukraine New Single is out! https://waikikimakaki.bandcamp.com/album/rhino-blues-full-contact-surf-single Waikiki Makaki https://linktr.ee/waikikimakaki Lost Diver https://lostdiver.bandcamp.com |

I'm a fan of the Keeley Mag Echo. it's a kind of echoplex thing without going TOO nuts trying to recreate the exact sound. but you can dial in some wow & flutter type stuff. —Matt Heaton & the Electric Heaters |
