New Surfybear Classic Reverb Unit Day!
Looks and sounds spiffy paired with my '62 Fender Bassman. I moved the '64 Fender Reverb Unit over to be paired with the '60 Fender Vibrasonic. Matching tolexes (tolexi?) for the win!

Congrats! Just got the Metal version recently! And the Compact too, but I am letting the Compact go. It's awesome, but I can't justify keeping both. Again, enjoy, all these SurfyBear units are a joy to play.

Thanks, Lorenzo! Congrats on your continued success with Surfy Industries! I'll be hanging on to the '62 Bassman.
However, my other two vintage amps - '60 Fender Vibrasonic and '64 Fender Princeton will likely be put up for sale in the near future.

I just realized I wrote and then never posted my response to that BASSMAN HOLY SHIT!!! Is that a 6g6A or 6g6B? I fantasize about a ‘62 6g6B joining my other two ‘62 babies. It is a further dream to someday have a whole run of 1962 Fenders. For that I still need a bassman, Pro (or Vibrasonic), Bandy, and a Tremolux haha! I see now why I deleted my original response.
Awesome rig and I am really looking forward to hearing some samples! C’mon man, it’s already been what, a week already?! Tease.

My '62 Bassman is a 6G6-A 125A13A 606202. I'll try to work up a video tomorrow or over the weekend featuring the Surfybear Classic and the '62 Bassman.
In the meantime, here's a video I did a couple of weeks ago playing some of my fave surf tunes with my '63 Jaguar, '64 Reverb Unit, and the '62 Bassman.

Congrats, Steve! I just so happen to have the exact same setup at the moment, only difference being my 62 is a 6G6-B, but the Jag is a 63!

So you know how guys never read manuals, look at maps, or stop and ask for directions at a gas station unless they absolutely have to? Yeah, apparently I'm that guy.
I can now include in the above that I ignore big red circled stickers that read, "REMOVE THE FOAM FROM THE BOTTOM" on the side of a new reverb unit.
I removed the foam that protects the tank springs during shipment and of course, the Surfybear Classic sounds AMAZING and just like my '64 Fender Reverb Unit. The '63 Fender Jazzmaster sounds glorious through the Surfybear Classic through my '62 Fender Bassman.
I'm a very happy surf guy.
I deleted the video off of YouTube and will make a new one today. Luckily, only 9 people looked at it.
A gazillion apologies to Surfy Industries for me being such a doofus. I'm gonna go get to work on the new video now.

Thanks for the updates!!!! Just an FYI, if people don't actually click the YouTube button at the bottom of the video you post on SG101forum, it won't count as a hit on YouTube. So if people, like me, just listened to the video mostly and didn't enlarge it, you wouldn't know.

Hey Surfysonic,
No worries, you are not alone. As the US branch of SI, I can tell you that we get a call or email at least once or twice a week from customers saying, "um, I don't think this works, it doesn't sound like the videos". We created the stickers sometime last year, but as you have proven, that doesn't always work either.
Either way, we are happy that you found the foam and that it is sounding like it should!
Ted
