I just changed to .10s from .09s on a Fender guitar with a 6 point trem and I am trying to get a good reference as to what constitutes being "level".
Can anyone out there please tell me if what is shown in the attached photo is truly level? In my opinion, it is not - This setup seems to have the plate slightly up on the right side.
Or should I be judging it based on how the saddles are sitting instead??
Mine currently looks almost exactly like the photo. Fender actually had the rear of the trem raised up a bit higher when I pulled it out of the box.
Thanks to all who respond.

Level is flat against the body. Anything else depends on what you like and how far you want to be able to pull up.

To me, your photo looks about right--a little lift above the body at the rear of the bridge.

Mine are set up like the one in your picture. If there's any string binding at the but, a quick tug up will fix it in a lot of cases. On top of that, it's nice to be able to bend the pitch in both directions, even if just a little bit.

that's exactly where you want it. Just a little bit off the body
