Permalink My Dwell knob isn't doing anything on my tank

New Topic

I just purchased a 1964 tank off of reverb. I had to install the tubes. It seems fine except the dwell knob does nothing. Any ideas?

If it is doing anything, it is very subtle. In fact everything feels kind of subtle and not as surfy as I would like...
This is the tank I bought.

vendeur:

Le tank de réverbe a été remplacé par un tank identique à celui d'origine

Best to check if they got the correct pan. It should be a 4AB3C1B.
Once you know it's the correct pan, with correct input and output impedance we can check the electronics part.

Also see if the springs are not locked or dampened with some foam for transportation.

He says it is the original pan. I would double check. Thank you.

Try taking the tank to an informed technician? I have a 1965 tank in great shape but is overdue for a checkup.

Yeah I brought it to a guy. I hope they can fix it.

So it was wired incorrectly. The 12ATT was wired to the wrong capacitor
