I don't think there's been any discussion of this pedal here, but I just grabbed one from Musicians Friend Stupid Deal for half price ($99.97) (Sat 10/26).
Two modes, Spring and Plate. Most of the video reviews veer to ambient, not surf oriented playing. This one by Mike Hermans (Pop Into the Chemist) seems to at least give a reasonable idea of the range of sounds - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fEbA8FGo_0s
Our friend Ryan at 60 Cycle Hum does a review here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M1HcMVEOE_g - sorta 60s garage band sounds.
This guy does do some surf oriented stuff starting around 3:30 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWceCmUlwFw
I doubt I would have gone for this at full price without more to go on. Unless I'm using my real '65 6G15, I generally use a Catalinbread Topanga on my surf board. But I also gig quite a bit on pedal steel, this pedal is probably right up that alley.
Just an FYI in case you hadn't seen this one before. I'll report back here when I get it.
