Permalink “Such a Night”- Live take with a new Gretsch G2420T Streamliner

New Topic

Hi all,
Hope you are all in good health and spirit.

This is a live take on Elvis Presley” “Such a Night” with my new Gretsch G2420T Streamliner.
I actually used the Karaoke backing track from Michael Bubble’s cover.

A couple of strings started going out of tune when I started playing.

It's not Surf music, but I hope you will like it.

Blessings,
Abdel

So excellent. Cool

Great stuff! I like how you play standing.

Hi all,

I am glad you liked it.
I don't like the tremolo bar. It's flat and doesn't go beyond a certain point, so you can't reach the lower strings.
Has any of you tried to saw the stopper?.

Th guitar is too big … for me.

Blessings,
Abdel

Nice. I love my Streamliner. Gretsch rocks!!

Mike

BRAVO! Used to play that tune in an oldies/rockabilly band.

There are a couple of other arms you can get, namely the "Duane" arm and the "Chet" arm.

I've cut the stop portion on one of mine and I like the result.

Here's what I have on mine. This guitar originally was a G2420, violin tailpiece instead of tremolo. I put on a GFS. Didn't cost an arm and leg, I think it looks good, and it works well!

Hi Folks,

Thank you much,
Will this one below fit my G2420T? It says Merle Travis.
