That was good. Smile Yes, the video feed was excellent. The last couple of years of KFJC's work has been excellent. Audio and video has been very good.

I managed to get a few seconds of each band, and put together a short video. Everything happened so quickly that day!

Nice Cool ….I found your band on YouTube

Nice videos!

I couldn't catch the live stream due to the time difference, but luckily the full audio recording of the event is still available:
https://kfjc.org/listen/archives

Don't get discouraged by the repeating hickups in the sound at the beginning, these stop after about 40 minutes, and after that it's the crystal clear KFJC sound we have all grown to love.

Thanks for putting up events like this!

Come to think of it: The rapid succession of bands on the same stage is something that works better with surf music than with a lot of other genres, because alle the bands get by with the same equipment and don't need individual sound checks etc. And even though some might say, that all the bands "sound more or less the same" (they really don't), the recording nicely illustrates the internal variety of surf music.

Los Apollos - cinematic surf music trio (Berlin)
"Postcards from the Scrapyard" Vol. 1, 2 & 3 NOW available on various platforms!
"Chaos at the Lobster Lounge" available as LP and download on Surf Cookie Records!

Thanks, Simon! I share your thoughts about the bands' sounds– 13 bands, same exact equipment, and they all sounded different.
I don't think I'd like to see a show like this every week, but every couple years it works out fine. It's a lot of work to pull off.
If you want to read more of my thoughts on the Surf Battle, check my blog.
