Permalink New Reverb/Trem pedal that actualy drips!!!!!

New Topic

just saw this video of a new pedal from Milkman Sound and from what i can tell it drips.
The Tremolo is amazing as well. i Know this will never replace a true Tank or Tremolo but it can be a good convenient substitute when you dont want to wag around your outboard units.

Sounds okay. There's some drip, but not as pronounced as I'd like. To me it sounds like what so many other digital reverb pedals are doing nowadays, which is: emulating a nice Fender amp's onboard spring reverb. I think effects companies use the term "spring tank" and now trendy words like "drip" but those terms mean different things to different people. I assume when he says "classic like a spring tank" he's not referring to an outboard unit such as the beloved 6G15, at least that's not what it sounds like to me in this demo. (edit: i re-watched it, he does in fact reference the word "dwell" so i guess they are trying to go for an actual outboard sound.)

The tremolo sounds okay too. Nothing to write home about. I guess it's kinda neat that there's an optional volume boost along with the tremolo, but again, not something I'd need or want.

I wouldn't buy it, especially for $250! The Strymon Flint pedal sounds more drippy, plus has a wonderful array of 3 different tremolos and can be found used under the $250 mark. That's just me of course.

That's if i had to use a pedal instead of the Surfy Bear and Surfy Trem, which i've never considered difficult to carry.
